You Want a Sudsy Puppy Membership? Too Bad!!

 

“How did I get here?”

This was my thought as I sat on hold trying to cancel a years-old ESPN+ subscription that I didn’t even know I had until I happened to see a strange charge on my bank statement (when ESPN+ joined up with Disney+ I ended up with 2 accounts somehow?). This led me down a rabbit hole of finding and cancelling an embarrassing number of subscriptions. It doesn’t seem like much until you start adding everything up. I barely even used most of these!

I decided right then and there, Sudsy Puppy WOULD NOT be offering monthly memberships. Dog grooming businesses all over the country are trying to sign up their customers for “discounted” monthly memberships and we were seriously tempted to do the same, but the truth is these businesses are counting on the fact that you will probably forget to bring your dog in at least once and you will have spent your hard-earned money on NOTHING!

We’re not going to do that.

Dog grooming is already expensive enough. We do our best to control costs, but it’s not cheap to ensure your dogs have an AMAZING experience. We only use the HIGHEST-quality shampoos and conditioners, specifically pH-balanced and designed to work with your dog’s coat and skin without irritation or damage (you’d be surprised how many groomers use Dawn dish soap to wash dogs). We also ensure our groomers receive the BEST training and stay up-to-date on the latest trends in animal care. While most dog groomers prioritize the number of dogs they can do in a day, we take TIME between every dog to ensure our tubs, tables, kennels, and grooming tools are fully sanitized—not many groomers can say that—to be sure your dog is completely safe in our care. That is what I would want for my dog.

So, we won’t sign you up for a membership.

We love your dogs, and of course we hope you form a lasting relationship with us, but we also don’t want you to waste your money. If you’re like me and often forget to book appointments, then instead of a monthly membership, we encourage you to book several appointments at once or book your next appointment when picking up your dogs. That way you will get text reminders a few days before each appointment, and you can cancel or re-schedule if needed.
